dipping toes in the water, splashing sunshine
days long nights short but still star-filled

necessary
these days and night are

they remind us
of why we push through frigid lonely winter months
when we yearn for this kiss of sun on skin

needing just a little longer
a bit more summer
an otter summer
everyone needs an otter summer
with unobstructed joy
